TRUST WIN COMMITMENT TO THE COMMUNITY AWARD

Saints in the Community are delighted to announce they are winners of the 'Commitment to the Community' Business Award 2022!

On Friday, members of our team attended the Perthshire Chamber of Commerce annual dinner and Business Star Awards at Crieff Hydro - an event which showcases superb local businesses and organisations.

At our core, Saints in the Community exists to meet local identified community need and we're so grateful to have our work recognised by this award. We are well known for our children’s football opportunities, however, we are also committed to:

  • free meals & childcare
  • mental health & neurodiverse support
  • isolation & loneliness support
  • education in schools
  • sporting opportunities for all

We're guilty of not showcasing our work to its full extent on social media, but our dedicated team, albeit relatively small, firmly believe sport can change lives.

"I would like to thank all the team for the work they put in on a daily basis, an award like this shows the dedication of the team and the commitment they give to the Community Trust. We don’t do the work we do for recognition, but on this occasion everyone should be very proud” - Francis Smith, CEO

We would like to thank our participants and their families, our volunteers, our programme partners, our funders, and corporate sponsors. To everyone associated with Saints in the Community, we're delighted to have you supporting us in our commitment to the community.

On the night, we were joined by former CEO Atholl Henderson, former Marketing & Fundraising Manager Iain Smith, and St Johntone Football Club's head chef, Lynn Melrose - each of them somebody the Trust has greatly benefitted from and appreciates.

We would also like to shine a light on our fellow finalists who do fantastic work across the county: All Strong Scotland, Esolperth, Perth Autism Support and Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance. Go check them out! The full list of nominees and winners can be found HERE.
