CEO CHRISTMAS MESSAGE

I wanted to take time to write to all the Trust supporters and wish them all a happy holiday season.

2022 has been a year of growth for Saints in the Community. We have seen over 3,000 people benefit from our community projects and attend our football programmes. It has been a fantastic first year with the Trust, and heartwarming to finish the year with the Festive Friend’s project and meet so many amazing people in the community.

Not to single anyone out, but I knocked on Betty’s door to give her a hamper from us and the smile and shock touched my heart. I urge you all to please remember this Christmas that a hello or a knock on a vulnerable or elderly persons door will mean the world to them.

The team at Saints in the Community recognised the cost of living crisis could have an impact on physical and mental health so we tried to give something back to everyone who supports our football by making our sessions affordable throughout December.

As we look forward to 2023, we at the Trust believe we will continue to deliver life changing projects. We will launch our new strategy soon, and continue our steady growth through the next 12 months.

I look forward to seeing many of you in the new year to continue 'changing lives through football'.

Yours in sport,
Francis Smith
