McDiarmid Friends

McDiarmid Friends brings adults together for welcoming, relaxed social events designed to help reduce isolation and strengthen community connections. Staying socially connected is vital for wellbeing at every stage of life, and our events provide a friendly space where people can build friendships, share experiences and feel part of a supportive community.

Following the success of our annual Festive Friends event, we’re delighted to expand the programme with Easter Friends and Summer Friends - seasonal gatherings which continue the spirit of togetherness all year round. By offering regular opportunities to meet, chat and celebrate, McDiarmid Friends supports positive mental health and helps tackle loneliness in a meaningful way.

Our much-loved Festive Friends event, delivered in partnership will The SPFL Trust, will continue as a highlight of the calendar. Guests enjoy a three-course meal, live entertainment and a visit from a special guest. It’s a warm and welcoming occasion where guests can share uplifting moments at a time of year which can feel particularly isolating for some.

Whether you come along with a friend or on your own, you’ll always find a warm welcome waiting. Referrals are welcomed from support services across Perth & Kinross.

Time Out Thursdays

Looking for a relaxed afternoon out? Time Out Thursdays are friendly, informal sessions where adults can enjoy a couple of hours of light entertainment and good company.

With activities such as bingo, quizzes and table games - plus refreshments and plenty of time to chat - these afternoons are a great way to spend time with others at the home of St Johnstone Football Club. Whether you drop in with friends or come along on your own, you’ll feel right at home.
