CHARITY OF THE YEAR DONATION

Saints in the Community receive generous donation from Kinnoull Bowling Club.

We are thrilled to share that Saints in the Community have received a generous donation of £1,205 from Kinnoull Bowling Club. Founded in 1887 to promote participation in bowling, the club is a small, friendly bowling club led by President, Frank Gilling and provides an excellent facility for the sport as well as a relaxing social space for its members.

The club participates in three leagues: the Perth & District League, the Campbell Trophy, and the John Annandale Trophy, all of which are played throughout the season. Additionally, the club hosts a weekly club night for all members every Friday evening welcoming both experienced bowlers and those new to the sport.

This week, Saints in the Community CEO, Eric Knox, and Business Development Manager, Rebekah Penman, were delighted to welcome Kinnoull Bowling Club President, Frank Gilling, and former Trust CEO and long-standing club member, Atholl Henderson, to McDiarmid Park to receive the cheque.

The proceeds were raised through a range of fundraising activities and tournaments held by the club, and we would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Kinnoull Bowling Club for choosing us as their ‘charity of the year’. The monies raised will be used to support our ongoing work to build stronger communities through sport, education, and wellbeing to develop healthier, happier, and successful people.

Saints in the Community is a stand-alone registered Scottish charity, and local fundraising is a vital part of how we continue our initiatives which serve the local community. There are number of ways you can get involved:

  • Charity of the Year
  • Corporate Sponsorship
  • Fundraising Events
  • Workplace Challenges
  • Volunteer Days
