DANNY TRANSFERS TO CLUB

Saints in the Community can share that Danny Griffin will be leaving his role with the Trust to begin an exciting new chapter as Under-19s Coach at St Johnstone Football Club.

From early morning flood checks to glitzy award nights, Danny has been part of every step in the Trust’s journey to date. Starting as a team member in the Football Club’s Community Department, and later transitioning into the charity we know today, Danny played a key role in leading football activities across the region.

He has worked within the full range of our projects, from 18-month-olds taking their first touch, to delivering workshops in primary and secondary schools, to supporting countless adults adopt healthier lifestyles – he’s done it all. If you pushed Danny to name his favourite project though, the answer has always been Football Memories. His willingness to share stories from his own playing career naturally had participants hooked!

Danny lived and breathed the Community Trust’s ‘why’, championing the power of football to change lives. And while he achieved a great deal, it was always the smiles - from kids, parents, and participants of all ages - which meant the most to him.

Although we’re sad to see him go, we’re excited to watch Danny’s next chapter unfold. We have no doubt he’ll thrive in his new coaching role, developing young talent at the Club he loves. On behalf of everyone at Saints in the Community - staff, trustees, volunteers, and participants – thank you Danny for everything you’ve given over the years.

Good luck – and don’t be a stranger!
